Introduction about SACIN
The Society for Automation Control and Instrumentation of Nigeria (SACIN) was founded on 28th December 2017 and was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with Registration Number: CAC/IT/NO 104647.
The main aim of the Society is to promote the science and technology of control in all systems, be they physical, engineering, biological, social, or economic and ensure their use in the development of the society.
We regularly organize seminars, workshops, and conferences that bring practitioners together in this field of endeavour.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF SACIN

The main aim of the Society is to promote the science and technology of control in all systems, be they physical, engineering, biological, social or economic and ensure their use in the development of society. We regularly organize seminars, workshops, and conferences that bring practitioners together in this field of endeavour. - 2.2 - OBJECTIVES
The objectives for which SACIN is established are:
- i. To serve practitioners with the theory and applications of automation, control and instrumentation;
- ii. To provide a platform for collaboration among those working in the areas of automation, control and instrumentation irrespective of sex, race, creed, color or geographical location, and promote free exchange of ideas and expertise;
- iii. To ensure that the utilization of the theory and practice of automation, control and instrumentation engenders rapid development of the society. Consequently, the Nigerian experts in this field will not only be discoverers of relevant technologies but also be exposed to other technologies developed elsewhere thus, empowering them to contribute effectively both in the teaching and practice of these important fields of endeavor;
- iv. To facilitate the dissemination and exchange of ideas among members and other similar bodies and establishments; generally
- (a) to organize ways of anticipating and assessing the changing needs of Nigeria and to advise appropriate bodies on the technical resources that should be applied and to sponsor programmes aimed at meeting these needs;
- (b) to provide independent and expert advice on matters of national importance pertinent to automation, control and instrumentation;
- (c) to cooperate and interact with professional and academic bodies as well as individuals, locally and internationally;
- (d) to recognize outstanding contributions to society and country by control experts;
- (e) to promote and safeguard excellence in control education and practice;
- (f) to promote high standard of professional ethics in control, automation and instrumentation;
- (g) to provide a forum for eminent control practitioners to present research and development activities in the profession for the benefit of the nation and the Society;
- (h) to receive bequests, gifts, donations, grants for the advancement of any of its objects;
- (i) to purchase, hold, lease, let, mortgage, sell, improve, or otherwise acquire and dispose of any movable or immovable assets and any rights or privileges, which may be necessary or convenient for the advancement of any of the objects of the Society;
- (j) to invest and deal with the monies of the Society not immediately required in any manner as approved by the Council;
- (k) to borrow money where necessary as approved by the Council to promote any of the objects set out herein upon such securities as may be determined;
- (l) to apply or petition for any legislation, parliamentary or otherwise that would further any of the objects of the Society;
- (m) to provide any other services pertinent to the objects of the Society;
- (n) to serve the nation in connection with significant changes involving control, automation and instrumentation.
